I set up NOICA to:

Not only use my expertise gained in over 30 years in the live and discontinued market.

But also to analyse what the customer requires and then call in the appropriate experts. By this method NOICA will only use the right expert for the project and as all experts are employed on a consultancy basis they will be cost effective and there will be no wastage.

I am Bob Burrows F.C.I.I. and have been active in the London Market starting in underwriting for General Accident and The B.A.I.G and from 1992 adjusting claims at Arig UK. Classes included: Aviation, Marine, Engineering, Casualty, Property and Treaty.

First experiencing the run off with Arig UK in 1999 I remained until moving to Enstar (Castlewood) where I reviewed and adjusted the claims under the successful Scheme of Arrangement liasing with PWC and EMB. At Enstar I was involved in claims adjusting and commutations for Bestpark and AIOI (Brampton).

I also spent time in Germany and Belgium auditing claims and reviewing procedures as part of due diligence.

Joining Novus Risk Solutions as Senior Consultant in 2007, responsible for claims adjusting, reserve updating, reserve redundancy and commutations for clients including Lloyd's Managing Agents. Have recently carried out audits at Xchanging, direct UK Motor insurance companies and TPA's.

I write and edit questions for the Chartered Insurance Institute and way back in 1992 was author of the Aviation Insurance Text Book.

Outside work I am a Freeman of the City of London, supporter of Reading Football Club and Surrey Cricket.
